I can fix it myself, but I feel like fucking throwing $$$ at the problem and making the local BMW indie mechanic do the work.

Indie is a word that sounds homely and intriguing in the gaming industry, that doesn't comply to car mechanics, it just sounds kind of dangerous in that perspective.

I fixed mine with a choke cable, some aircraft grade braided stainless cable, a lawnmower pull string handle, angle iron and a bicycle brake cable barrel nut.
